Adults & Children
Our Ballroom Program is taught by world class instructors founded by Enrique Alarcon in a great community of dancers — Igor Gayenko, Ilya Ivanov, and Yana Tikhenko will lead you to be an amazing dancer in the world of ballroom. The Dance Collective Pros and Amateurs are regular Winners and finalists in Latin and Standard competitions.
Adult Ballroom Program

Group Classes:
Standard/Smooth Ballroom: Igor
Consists of (Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Quick Step, Viennese Waltz, etc.)
Latin Ballroom: Ilya
Consists of (Cha Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba, Paso Doble, Mambo, Salsa, Merengue, etc.)
Ladies Latin Style: Yana
Consists in working technique, rhythm and style from the girls point.
Private Lessons: Yana/Ilya/Igor
45 min with Yana, Ilya and Igor. price: $140
45 min with Enrique $150
You can train via private in the style of your preference.
By appointment only (Latin, Standard, and Smooth).
For Ballroom Competition or Showcase:
A minimum of 2 private classes per week to train in the style of your choice will be required.
The Dance Collective will guide you through the competition registration process.
The Dance Collective Dancesport Kids Club
We will cover two styles in our ballroom program.
International Standard encompassing, Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Slow Fox Trot and Quick Step.
International Latin encompassing, Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble, Jive.
Levels
We will work in different levels: Pre Bronze, Bronze, Pre Silver, Silver, Closed Gold, Open Gold, Advanced Open Gold.
Our main goal is to create and take couples to competition. However, singles (those without a partner) will be able to compete as solos. And there will also be an option to compete pro-am, dancing with either, Ilya or Yana.
Age Groups
Group 1: Mixed 5 - 6yrs
Group 2: Mixed 7 - 11yrs
Private Lessons
All singles, and couples will be required to take 2 private lessons per week. Why? These styles are very technical, and require a lot of drilling and practice to perfect. Working in a couple is much different to working alone, so privates become necessary to become stronger.
Competition
There are over 140 national competitions per year, many based in the tri-state area. So there are lots of opportunities to compete. Students will be invited to compete once Ilya and Yana have determined that they are ready. We are approximating 3 - 6 months.
Competition Pricing
Students will be responsible for entry fees to the competition. This amount changes depending on the size of the competition and the number of categories entered. The Studio will guide you with this process.
The studio will receive the payment before the competition
